My primary research interests are in moral philosophy, moral psychology, and applied ethics.
My current research project is on nudging and moral responsibility. This is in connection with a three-year Veni grant from the Netherlands Scientific Research Organisation. The title of the project is "Nudging Responsibly: choice architecture and responsibility attributions".
Here's the schedule for the upcoming workshop. "Nudging and Moral Responsibility: Lessons from manipulation, implicit bias and situationism (Amsterdam, April 6-7, 2018)"
In addition think a lot about the epistemic condition of moral responsibility. If you're interested in this topic click this picture ->
Here are some publications:
I'm also co-coordinator together with Jan Willem Wieland of a Dutch Research School of Philosophy (OZSW) study group on the Philosophy of Responsibility. In this group we get together to discuss recent developments in, well, the philosophy of moral and epistemic responsibility. Please join!
